Day 4 - Flight to Sucre, Bolivia's official capital. Enjoy a tour of this lovely city located in a valley and enclosed by mountains at the foot of the Churuquella and Sica Sica hills. Sucre is home to the second oldest university in the Americas, San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca, founded in 1624. Discover distinctive architecture, painted colonial white with red tile roofs. Visit the 17th Century cathedral museum to see the encrusted Virgin of Guadalupe. (AB) |

| Day 5 - Then take a four-hour scenic ride to Potosi. Potosi was once the largest city in the Americas and one of the most important urban centers in the world, renowned for its silver mines. Discover echoes of Potosi's colonial past in the elaborate baroque church facades and private homes with wooden balconies overlooking the narrow winding streets. Visit Casa de la Moneda, which served the Spanish empire as a mint, fortress, and prison. (AB) | ||
| Day 6 - Tour Pailaviri mine for an unforgettable look at a miner's life and work. Afternoon transfer to El Salar de Uyuni. (AB) | ||
| Day 7 - Uyuni Salt Flat Tour Uyuni salt flat. In the summer the flat is a huge lake with a depth of about 2 feet; the blue sky merges into the blue water, the islands are perfectly reflected. In the winter the water evaporates, leaving a snowy blanket of salt. Overnight train ride from Uyuni to La Paz. | ||
