on your overnight flight.

Day 2 - Arrive
in Rio De Janeiro this morning and transfer to your selected hotel
for a 3 night stay. Balance of day free. Tonight features "Rio By Night"
Welcome dinner at a typical churrascaria followed by a show of Brazilian
music and folklore. (B,D)

Day 3 - Morning
tour to Sugar Loaf Mountain in Guanabara Bay and ascend by cable car for
panoramic view. Next, proceed to downtown Rio. In season (October-February)
take optional "Carnival Behind the Scenes" tour to meet the artists and
get a special preview of work in progress on the carnival floats and costumes.
The rest of the year the optional tour will feature the "Secrets of Old
Rio", a walking tour through the historic avenues, squares and backstreets
of Rio. The balance of the day is free. (B)

Day 4 - Morning
tour to Corcovado Mountain for a breathtaking view of the "cidade maravilhosa".
Return via the Tijuca Rainforest and outlying beaches of Rio. Balance
of the day is free. (B)

5 - Transfer to the airport and fly to Salvador in the Northeast
of Brazil. Transfer to your selected hotel for a 3 night stay. (B)

6 - Bahia is the cultural heartland of Brazil where African, Portuguese
and Indian cultures began the mixture that spawned the Brazilian identity.
This morning tour the Old City and Pelourinho. Tonight features dinner and
a folklore show emphasizing Bahian culture. (B,D) |

7 - Enjoy a full day schooner trip, with lunch, to some of the tropical
islands that dot the idyllic All Saints Bay. Opportunities for swimming
off deserted beaches, exploring island trails or just lounging on board.

8 - Transfer to the airport and fly south to Iguassu Falls, where
the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet. Transfer to the gracious
Das Cataratas Hotel, set dramatically in the National Park on the Fall's
edge, for a one night stay. (B) |

9 - Full day tour of the Falls, including the Brazilian and Argentine
sides. Enjoy the majesty of one of South America's most awesome spectacles.
Early evening transfer to the airport for your flight home. Arrive USA the
