Andean Patagonian Expedition
6 Days / 5 Nights

An adventure crossing through the Lake District of the Andes Puerto Montt, Cochamó Valley, Puelo River, International Crossing of the Lakes Puelo and Puelo Interior, El Bolsón, Bariloche. Special expeditions from September till April with free choice of departure and arrival point. The stunning trek crosses the rich and lush vegetated valley of Río Puelo, which divides the two countries of the Patagonian Andes. The valley of the Puelo River is located right between the two cities of Puerto Montt in Chile (150Km) and San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina (150Km). The trek lasts 6 days and can be done either by horse or by foot. The accommodation consists of either camping or lodging at the "cabaña" (luxurious cottage), according to your preference. On this discovery trip, it is possible to return to the departure point or to continue to the neigh bouring country and thereby witnessing the geographical diversity of both countries. You will fly over volcanoes and glaciers, sail lakes and rivers, cross Andes trails through the same mountain passes as the first explorers did not so long ago. The Lake District is a luxuriant rainforest area covered by native flora and imountains with few inhabitants. This allows us to enjoy the preservation of its virgin beauty, its cultural touch, its traditions and the variety of its wild fauna. By actually breathing and experiencing this "microclimate" day by day, you realize earth's treasures, still left to enjoy.
