Sea Kayak in the Chiloé Archipielago
4 Days / 3 Nights

Chiloé Archipelago, where the magic of traditional culture lives on... Get immersed in the fascinating, cultural experience of Chiloe Island as we glide silently through the mysterious byways of this archipelago. Spain once maintained it's last stronghold of colonial power in South America in Chiloe. Today, there are still vestiges of the original Araucanian way of life, which combine harmoniously with the influences of the German immigrants of the late 1800s, and of modern-day Chile. Our kayaks emulate the spirit of the fragile "dalcas", which natives used for traveling in this region many centuries ago. On one picturesque island we visit, you'll see an old moss-covered wooden church gracing the shoreline, as well as palafitos (stilt houses). Taste guindao and rompón, savor a rich curanto and other traditional cuisine that will delight your palate. Wander through the local market of Castro, where you'll see artisans at work on handicrafts that you can buy for surprisingly low prices. What more can we say?. This is the opportunity of a lifetime to enjoy a fantastic adventure at the other end of the Earth, one that you'll remember forever.
