Ruca in the Center of the Nature

Transfer from the Tepual Airport to the Ruca Challwafe Lodge located between Cascade and Ensenada, beside the lake Llanquihue. (1 hour 30 minutes from the airport aprox.) The lodge has rooms 50 mts2., on the level of the lake, wide, with capacity of 4, 6, and 8 people, all with private bathrooms and covered in natural wood. Here we are received with a welcome cocktail. At 15.30 hrs. we will begin the rafting trip in the River Petrohué. In Ensenada, your guide hands out the equipment to the participants (wet suits, life vests, helmets oars). Safety instructions. Afterwards starts the ride in professional self bailing rafts, the rapids of the river Petrohué grade 3 to 4. We have wonderful views to the volcanoes Puntiagudo, Osorno and Calbuco . During our ride we will encounter native birds such as Cormoranes, Martin fisherman, and others. After 17 k. of exciting adventure (1 ½ hour.) we arrive at the exit of the river. Picnic lunch with sandwiches, cookies, Coca - Cola and the famous Pisco Sour. Afterwards return to Puerto Varas.
At 9.00 hrs we will leave the Ruca and we go to the place of beginning of the horseback riding in the foots of the volcano Calbuco. Here starts the horseback riding for approx.4,5 hours. We will walk through native forest where you will see the contrast between the red Notros and the white Ulmos flower. At a height of 100 m. Above the White river, at the lookout "Salto de Piedras" we will be surrounded by pristine landscapes like the turquoise colored waterfalls coming from the Andes Mountain. We will have views to the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco and we will go by sandbanks and volcanic stones of the last eruptions in 1929 and 1960, we will walk through the canyon of a river until arriving at the impressive waterfall "El Caliente" with a height of more than 60 m. Whoever wishes to take a bath can do so. Picnic lunch and return.
After a breakfast with queque (cake), kuchenes, marmalade and homemade bread, field cheese and natural fruits, we will leave by boat to go for a walk on the shore of the Lake Llanquihue, observing the beauty of the nature, flora and typical fauna of the area; truly a virgin environment. When returning, if time permits, we can enjoy a sauna on the lake, with a spectacular view of the volcano Calbuco and of the Lake Llanquihue. A natural waterfall inside the sauna provides an unique shower. Transfer out.
